Our work practices have one single aim, which is to provide the highest quality service to our clients - our clients being defined strictly and exclusively as those from whom we have received instructions to sell property.

We absolutely do not involve ourselves in procuring mortgage finance for purchasers, because this creates potential for conflict of interest - favouring the purchaser who would source finance through us, as we would then earn additional fees from the mortgage company. Many of the larger estate agencies make substantial profits from this practice, which we consider to be fundamentally against the interest of our clients.
We absolutely do not enter into negotiations for the sale of a property subject to ancillary or third party sales. As a result we have the highest success rate in actual completed sales in the business, over 95%.
We are totally independent both politically, and financially. We are not associated with any political grouping, not franchised to a larger estate agency business, and are not affiliated to any building society, bank or other institution.
We are also not affiliated to any organisation which condones special relationships between estate agencies and developers, as again we believe such relationships contain potential for serious conflict of interest - favouring the developer as purchaser in the hope or promise of future fees, rather than striving to secure the best possible price for the vendor.
We believe that our complete independence is the best way to serve our clients, who after all are the people paying our fees!

Since 1995, years before most agencies went on line, we have run our own website and have included every property on our books with a full photographic and informative display. Through this medium we have increased our customer base steadily. Larger agencies often claim to update their website regularly, but in reality their sites are unmanageable and constantly out of date.
At Sheehy Brothers when we say we update our website daily, we mean it.

Note on opening hours
Sheehy Brothers is open from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm Monday to Friday (closed 1 pm to 2 pm for lunch).
These are also the hours within which we conduct viewings of property. For the sake of our own staff and their families, and of our clients whom we believe are entitled to a measure of privacy from public viewings, we do not open at weekends.
